This afternoon I cut a couple of shoots off of the  Aspen tree in front of our house and  put them in these pots. 

I used a root growth product so I'm hoping that  they will make it.

I was working in the front yard and a deer came in the back yard and ate both shoots and pulled them out of the  pots.

I couldn't find the 2nd shoot, so I planted this Flowering Crabapple start that I had  growing in a  margarine tub. 

Backyard project

I've been working in the back yard. Saturday Outback had a special before Mother's day, so JuBug and I went there for dinner. Afterwards we went to Costco and she made her yearly petunia purchase. They also had these planters and they look better then the old plastic ones we used so we got them for the petunias. We spent Mother;s day planting the petunias and preparing to move the flowering Plum tree to the center and Monday we bought a new Flowering Crab apple tree. I also got a yard of soil for the lawn leveling project just 18 or so more yards of soil to go.
