"Halloween" ... sort-of

Today is Pust, a Slovenian holiday (and other countries too. It's Mardi Gras) where all the kids put on costumes so we joined in this year. Abigail borrowed a costume from her friend, Lili, and I got one for Eli at Children's Place for $5 when we were there at Christmas...a left-over from Halloween.

One of the malls was having something at 10am...I thought the sign said "face painting" so Sarah, Lili's mom, and I took the kids. It turned out that's not what they were doing and it was actually just one pre-school class there doing some fun dancing, then coloring a paper mask. They were nice and let the kids join in their fun.

For some reason...Donuts are a traditional thing to eat on this holiday. So after we all got donuts.

Mom is really enjoying the new pellet stove. It seems like she just feels so good because of the heat!

Super Bowl Sunday

We invited Dave and Malissa over for the Super Bowl. Shawn and Christena called Saturday night and told us they were coming over Sunday. They spent Saturday night in Salem at Shawn's parent and then arrived here around 10:00 Sunday. They spent the afternoon with us and then went back to Salem after the Super Bowl. It was a lot of fun to see them and the kids.
