Julie and I brought Elijah & Caleb over after Abby's graduation on Wednesday. Then on Sunday evening Amy brought Abby and Hannah over. On Monday we went to the High Desert Museum and on Wednesday it was nice enough to go to the pool.

Our trip to Ventura/Santa Barbara, California

We all had a great time on our beach trip--great weather, great ocean view room, or own private patio--could not have asked for more and the food at the Cliffhouse Inn (where we stayed) was fantastic!

The only thing with the hotel was we could not really walk on the beach, it was a rocky climb to get down to the ocean (at low tide) people did it, but we did not trust ourselves.  So, we took a drive to Ventura where Mom could walk on the beach, and pick up shells (no rocks : )

Mom had read an article about "The Jolly Oyster" man, in Ventura, where you can purchase fresh oysters and clams. So before we left to go back to the Inn, Mom purchased six oysters, and they gave her an additional two free --so eight!!  We took them back to the hotel where Mom looked liked she was in heaven as she ate her fresh oysters on our private patio.
