Warm Weather

We've been having some nice warm weather so we got out Abigail's kiddy pool. It's taken her awhile to warm up to it, but she's enjoying it. We have another bigger pool that we're looking forward to setting up because then we can all get in together!

Myron memorial

I got back from Nebraska Wednesday night about 11:30. These were the only pictures I was able to get. We made these for the memorial service and had some photo albums sitting out also. I had pictures of the family and the grave site of the family, but when I transferred them to the computer they disappeared. Bob & I met quite a few people that knew dad and Myron. I had a great visit I am so glad that Julie booked the flight before I could argue with her.

Junking

Joel took me junking yesterday...isn't he sweet? I wish you could've gone with us, Mom. There were so many piles this time. It was in downtown Lj, where there is always something to grab! It was actually pouring down rain, almost the whole time and he just stayed in the car with Eli while I jumped out at intersections and sidewalks...where ever there was a pile. It was fun! And Abigail had a GREAT time at home with Anja. About 3 hours of Slovene for Abigail, so that's good.

Oh yeah...a side note: the other day Anja said that Abigail was talking to her and was saying "shus" and looking at Anja to see if she could understand her. That was neat to hear. It's going to be amazing to watch Abigail learn two languages at one time.

So here's yesterday's treasures:Yep! That's a potty training chair...I'm going to turn it into a flower pot holder! : ) And the basket will be for flowers too. The green stand is going to be for our sun umbrella. And I'm not sure what to do with the picture frame yet, it was so great though, I couldn't pass it up! : )

Happy Mother's Day!

We wish we could be there today to celebrate YOU! Thanks for coming to be with us in March, we had such a great time with you. Thanks for all the loads of laundry you washed, folded and put away for us. Thanks for all the fun things you brought to us and bought for us here, thanks for all the dishes you washed and put away. Thanks for all the hugs and kisses, for playing with the kids and making them laugh and smile. Thanks for being a servant and an example for both Abigail and myself to follow. We love you!

Happy (late) Birthdays Grandmas!

Dearest Grandma Beverly...

Happy, Happy Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day feeling loved and celebrated! I'm so glad all those people came to visit you! I would have been right there with you too, if I could've! One of the things that I love about you is how much you love people. You are so interested in others and their lives, it's a tremendous gift that you have and your infectious laughter is wonderful too! So many of my memories of you are of you laughing and enjoying life. You inspire me to do the same!
I just love you...
Happy Birthday!

And...

Dearest Grandma Sorensen....

Happy, Happy Birthday to you! I hope you also had a wonderful day feeling completely loved and celebrated! If I had been there with you I would have loved to have had a cup of coffee with you out on the patio or sitting on your bed and just chatted. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with you and most of them involve just sitting and listening to you. I think you are a woman of strength and courage who has lived a rich life! You've been an inspiration to me in my journey of making a new "home" in a different country. I'm so proud to call you Grandmother!
I love you...
Happy Birthday!

Last Sunday 5/4/2008 we had a few of mom's friends in for a birthday party. She got a lot of nice cards and flowers, but most of all she really enjoyed seeing everyone. John & Betty ( the one in the yellow sweater) just got back from 8 months of touring the East coast and wintering in Florida, so she was really surprised to see them. We all enjoyed watching her with the cards, and then we ate cake and
ice cream!

Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Abigail fell in the gravel...
But she's okay!
